Welcome to Global Network for Uganda Volunteers Foundation
Global Network for Uganda Volunteers Foundation is a non-profit organization dedicated to supporting underprivileged communities through volunteer work. Since our inception, we have been on a mission to create a brighter future
for children, youth, and vulnerable families across Uganda.
We focus on education, healthcare, environment, community development, and empowerment. Through local and international volunteers, we aim to provide resources and hands-on support to those who need it the most.
A few things we’re great at
At Global Network for Uganda Volunteers Foundation, we take pride in our unique approach to creating lasting change in the communities we serve. Here are a few things we excel at:
Building Strong Community Partnerships
We believe that the most impactful projects are those that are community-driven. We work closely with local leaders, schools, healthcare providers, and community members to understand their needs and co-create sustainable solutions. By fostering long-term partnerships, we ensure our initiatives are relevant, effective, and owned by the communities we serve.
Empowering Volunteers to Make a Difference
Volunteers are at the core of everything we do. Whether it’s a short-term placement or a long-term commitment, we provide our volunteers with the support, training, and tools they need to create real, measurable impact. We excel at creating meaningful experiences for volunteers, allowing them to learn, grow, and contribute to causes that matter.
Fostering Sustainable Development
We are dedicated to creating solutions that don’t just address immediate needs but also provide long-lasting benefits. Our projects in education, healthcare, women’s empowerment, and environmental conservation are designed with sustainability in mind, ensuring that the progress we make continues to benefit future generations.
Creating Measurable Impact
We pride ourselves on transparency and accountability. Every project we undertake is closely monitored to ensure it meets its goals. We regularly assess the impact of our programs and share success stories and measurable outcomes with our supporters and stakeholders.

The Secret of Success
At Global Network Uganda Volunteers Foundation, our success lies in a combination of core values, community-driven efforts, and the passionate dedication of everyone involved. Here’s the secret behind our continuous growth and impact:
Passion and Commitment
Our team, volunteers, and partners are deeply passionate about making a difference. This commitment fuels our projects and enables us to work tirelessly towards uplifting communities. Whether it’s a health outreach, an educational drive, or an environmental initiative, our dedication to the cause is unwavering.
Community Involvement
The communities we serve are at the heart of everything we do. We believe that real change happens when people take ownership of their futures. By listening to and collaborating with local leaders, families, and individuals, we ensure that our programs are not just impactful but also sustainable.
Volunteer Power
Volunteers are the backbone of GNUVF. Our success comes from the passion and energy of individuals who offer their time and skills to bring about change. By empowering volunteers from Uganda and across the globe, we create a network of support that enhances the lives of the communities we serve.
Strong Partnerships
Collaboration is key to our success. By partnering with local organizations, government agencies, and international supporters, we expand our reach and strengthen our impact. These partnerships allow us to pool resources, share knowledge, and work more effectively toward common goals.

These are our active projects and the various areas in which the association operates in the area. As you can read, they are not static, on the contrary, new ideas and possible applications are not only welcome but also strongly desired. We always encourage our volunteers to bring new proposals according to their preferences and abilities, so that we can always progress and improve, while making each experience unique. Be the change you want to see in the world.
Women Empowerment.

Volunteer Testimonials
Our volunteers are the heart and soul of Global Network for Uganda Volunteers Foundation (GNUVF). Their dedication, hard work, and passion for making a difference drive the success of our programs. Here’s what some of our amazing volunteers have to say about their experiences with GNUVF:
I was looking for a volunteer placement and my first preference was Uganda, but then this opportunity in Kampala came up and before I knew it I had contacts with the directors of UVF.
A week later I was on the plane to Uganda in chase for a new adventure. Uganda Volunteers Foundation seem the cheapest ever, and they do work fast and once I said yes to this volunteer proposal it went really fast. They helped and
referred me to good accommodation and everything else. My volunteering was a great learning experience and I actually really worked as a teacher and also helped mothers at home with their babies. I would really recommend Uganda Volunteers
Foundation as it is really hard to get such a work experience on your own. I’ve also enjoyed Kampala more than I expected at first and I will miss all the new friends I’ve met in Uganda Webale Nyo Eva and UVF at large, the only Organization
with free volunteering Uganda.

Volunteering abroad has always been one of the many things I wanted to do ever since my last year in college. I came across Uganda Volunteers Foundations program through my friends and after months of communication with the coordinator and doing research about Uganda, and especially the rural areas I was meant to work, my stay in Uganda was short only two weeks, but in those two weeks I was able to learn about Uganda’s culture, make lifelong friends, and, most importantly, learn all about their Education system while getting the hands on experience. I was also able to expand my other skills to the kids and community members and perfect it! Kampala and Entebbe are such amazing cities, so beautiful and the people are super friendly! If you love to travel and are dying to start volunteering, then Uganda Volunteers Foundation is just right for you! I love to travel and have been meaning to start volunteering, so why not do both at the same time? I never regretted my decision to come to Uganda and I do plan to come back and visit one day! It’s a once in a lifetime experience and I honestly recommend those who are looking into Uganda Volunteers Foundation, look no further!

My experience with Uganda Volunteers Foundation was amazing. I spent the best time of my life in this city meeting the most wonderful people, eating and drinking at the most fantastic restaurants and bars, exploring countless activities in and outside the city, and helping at one exceptional school. As a teacher, I was able to gain new teaching skills, shadow during my class times, participate in sports and games, helped and eventually loved every bit, and learnt about a completely different education system than my own. The vulnerable children I spent my time with were extremely welcoming, happy though needy. When i wasn’t teaching, I was taking advantage of the many attractions Uganda has to offer, with tons of help from Uganda Volunteers Foundation. The program coordinators helped us with everything I got to know amazing people from all over the world and made lifelong memories and friendships. Uganda allowed me to adventure more than I ever have before. I cannot imagine a more fun and interesting place to volunteer or a better program than Uganda Volunteers Foundation.

I volunteered with Women Empowerment Program, for 3 month. When I first arrived, I was anxious about being surrounded by so many people. The foreign language, culture, and stares were a bit overwhelming. By my second month, I came to love everything that I feared. The strangers in my home became my family, the foreign culture became my own, and the stares made me smile. And the sights?? Wow, the safari and some of the most breathtaking wonders of the world, Jinja, Bunyonyi, There are so many factors to why this has been one of — if not the best — trips of my life, but I’d just ramble. All I can say is the people are what made this adventure so incredible. The kids, the locals, and the other volunteers all contributed to this life-changing event that I will never forget. Make friends, be bold, keep an open mind, and I guarantee you’ll hate when you have to wave goodbye on your last day. Webale nyo Uganda.

Leading into my last summer, I was seeking a life-changing experience and Uganda gave me exactly that. I was happy to volunteer in health centers, schools and communities it was challenging and it provided me with lots of experiences it has already contributed to my career. Many times, I would get out of work and go surfing and other fun activities with the group of volunteers in the program; I was doing something new almost every day.
It was the best life changing experience ever, I recommend anyone to go for it.
I volunteered with Women Empowerment Program, for 12month.
By far the most gratifying experience ever. I’ve done many things like this in my country but in Uganda it was different. First of all, the people are very thankful. Also it’s very complete, in the morning you can teach and in the afternoon you are able to get involved with the community, helping women learn English and sustainable skills or simply meeting the kids in the street and just having a good talk or play with them, eat some Rolex. There is truly a lot of work which helps the community. You are always able to do something for them, doesn’t matter how small it is they will appreciate it so much. And overall, there is a need for volunteers so you feel that you are there really making a difference. So thank you UVF for allowing me to know such amazing people in Uganda!!
